KILL is a business strategy game. Just like in the real world, the performance of companies and investments is always changing due to unpredictable events. But your strategic decisions and quick judgments will play a key role. The game is a constant battle for the control of six companies. Temporary alliances form between directors when they decide to unseat their CEO.
The immediate goal is to start up a company and to earn the large CEO salary. However, it takes $1million to start up a company and the Investment bank will not invest more than $500,000. You and one or more partners must fund the rest so you had better choose your partner(s) wisely - and how much you will let them invest - or you will risk losing control of your company. The only way to avoid this is to own at least 50% of the company shares.
All players can bid for the Investment Banker shares but be careful not to leave yourself cash poor or a Whistle Blower will accuse you of a crime and take you to court where you risk having to pay a big fine. The Press Release cards announce profits and losses which go in or out of the company's cash reserve. If your shares increase in value, this will add to your wealth so you had better trade your shares wisely. The Press Release cards also announce hostile takeovers – presenting opportunities for those with enough cash.
The winner is the player with the most overall wealth in terms of both personal cash and the value of their shares.
